We will not be having student led conferences/parent teacher interviews this week. Teachers will be connecting with parents, as deemed necessary, another way. Parents are also welcome to email teachers to arrange a conversation, if desired.

Our school community would not be the same without all the volunteers who give up their time to help out in classrooms, with hot lunch, with sports teams, and so much more!

Kindergarten and junior kindergarten registration/meeting taking place today (March 4, 2020) at 4:00 p.m. Please bring your child's birth certificate. Child care will be provided. If you are unable to attend the information session on March 4, please stop by the office (with your child's birth certificate) at your earliest convenience to register your child. The sooner we know how many children will be registered, the sooner we can finalize programming decisions. Thanks and hope to see you soon.

Officially found my favorite Cinnamon Bun recipe! Parker and I tested and approved! Going to be hard, but setting most of these aside for the Gr 3 and 4 bake sale at Seven Persons School tomorrow to help raise funds for the library!

Our junior high students have been involved in a cross-curricular project that we call "The Game of Life", to prepare them for life beyond high school. Students have worked through the process of pursuing post-secondary education, completing their education/training, finding a job, and finding a place to live, with all of the various bumps that one might face along the way. It has been a real learning experience. While it was a mock situation, the students took it really seriously, with some frustration along the way. The focus of this project was to build resiliency and to help students gain the confidence necessary to reflect and re-evaluate when faced with adversity. Our students would like to showcase their learning on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 2:00-3:00 pm. Parents and community members are invited to come view these projects and talk to our students about their learning. Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone that you think might be interested in joining us.

Parents, staff, and students are now able to purchase Seven Persons School clothing online! We have partnered with Source for Sports in Medicine Hat. From January 13 to January 24, 2020, you will be able to access the online clothing store again by using the link below. There you can purchase from a variety of choices. The store will be open a few times throughout the year. After January 24th, the store will be temporarily shut down, until the next opening. Orders can be picked up approximately 2-3 weeks after the closing date. All orders need to be picked up directly from Source for Sports in Medicine Hat. A portion of the money will be put towards Seven Persons Athletics program. We encourage you to grab some gear and support our school! Parents and extended family are welcome to join us for our Christmas Concert on December 19 at 7:00 p.m. Students performing are to arrive at 6:45 p.m. We also have a show in the afternoon at 1:00 p.m. While the afternoon show is intended to allow our entire student population to see the whole performance, there will be some extra seats for extended family members who are not able to make the evening show. Looking forward to seeing you!
